Being Poked On Facebook. My Advice to get rid of Poke. Poke on Facebook is a way to attract your friends or acquaintances attention. A communication option on Facebook that allows users to say hello to or show interest in a friend without having to go through the tedious process of crafting coherent sentences in order to express ones self. I have a lot of friends and a bunch of them poke me on a regular basis.
I dont have time to respond to all the pokes as they come in so I usually wait a few days and poke everyone back at once. A poke is a way to interact with your friends on Facebook. Instead of being able to poke someone directly from their profile you now have to go to a special spot on your news feed search for the poking feature and then poke the person. Youve got the notification on your Facebook notifications feed but you have NO clue what it means. My friends husband is being poked repeatedly by some girl that is crushing on him. I was dating a guy for a few months and he pulled a houdini on me.
Poke is the basic feature in Facebook and I think you cant turn it off.
